CAMOUFLAGE

Camouflaged in confidence,
Revealing my need
To keep under control
The otherwise,
Unprotected anxieties,
That I have allowed
Unwittingly,
To rule my life.
I am an actor
On stage, parading,
Portraying someone
Who isn’t me,
Who will never be me.
I live a lie
Every day.
A very real fear,
Has me inexplicably bound.
Behind this facade,
This smiling,
Confident face,
I am filled with self-doubt
And lack of courage.
This is so unworthy
Of who I really am.
Truths, Lies and Imagination,
The way my life has been
The person that I truly am,
Is very rarely seen. ©das

I understand this.. It's hard to tell who u are sometimes, if you always feel like you're not being yourself. You'll find yourself.

My writing is strictly Truths, Lies and Imagination and only I know which is which. I found myself years ago but thank you for the concern.
