Moisturizing Memories~

~*Marge Tindal*~

One tiny teardrop
looking for a place to fall
Seeking a cheek to caress
in total recall~

And should it trickle past a smile
you left for me to reclaim
You are a memory I won't soon forget
Knowing that though you are gone,
always you will remain~

One droplet of sweet remember,
moisturizing your memory
Bringing you back to dwell within
the very heart of me~

Tears and smiles are all I have
in this soul of kindred keeping
All you were and all I am
are shed within this weeping~

And though I shed each of you
in a different sweep of time's command
Cumulatively I remember
when you each held my hand~

Someday the smiles will outnumber the tears
but, until they do
God knows that I was blessed
to be touched by each of you~

~*~

Grandma Wainright~How many times you come to play in my heart~
Daddy~Here too short ... gone too long~
Granddaddy~ Your memory is as tall as the cast of your shadow~
Brother Mike~Oh, Mike ... most of all, most of all~
Michelle Lynette Barr~ Angel child of my heart .. a blessing you were to me~
Little Granny~Tightly held with squeezing heart-hugs~
Hilda Isaly~ Nanny ... you left so many smiles~
Mother~Fragrance of rose or a butterfly in flutter .. brings you back to me~
Aunt Mimi~ Oh, my ... how precious the smiles of remember~
Joseph R. Pearce~More than teacher .. you gave me reason to believe in myself~
Sister Shari~Too short the wick ... but, oh how you glowed~

~*~

Flipping through this Rolodex of December-In-Remember
I thank God for the beauty of each etching on my heart.
Believing that, far beyond time, they share in the true of who I am,
gives me reason to be thankful for the gift of remember~

*December 2002*
A gentle December-In-Remember

Marge, my bestest friend, you've penned a beautiful Gentle Remember for December

I too have a Gentle Remember
Of those days I met you last September
Remember Sanford's Best Western Inn?
Oh dear, that man still won't wash his chin
Kissed by two giggling girls, you and me
After being helpfull carrying my suitcase see
And the lunch with the people dear to you
June's beautiful 'in the wood' house, I remember too
But most of all I remember your smile
You hugged me there for quite a while
Be sure I'll come back to see you my dear
I hope next year, so put aside some beer!

Titia

Dearest Marge, I am so glad that I stopped by today to read.  And I am glad that I did it before I put my contact lenses in... I would have rubbed them out.~~~ What an incredibly beautiful dedication to those who have crossed the veil and have had a hand with the creation of Who You Are. Thank you for reminding me of those close and special to my own heart who have done the same. To each of your names I add my own and also a few that we have just recently moved away from.... My Grandparents, who have had more than a little to do with who I am today.

Extraordinary Write, Marge.
Placing it in my library where I can read it again.
Have a Blessed Christmas.

Sherry

Today, my own words made me cry the remember of too, too many gone~
Thumbing through the 'trinket' boxes ... praying that I can grasp the memories and squeeze them once more~
That's what memories are for, aren't they ?

And in grieving the loss ... I indeed think of my signature line at the end of my posts, and begin ... again ... to count the reasons each of these special people in my life wrote memories that I must bring to the forefront to make sure I remember them always ... in all ways~
I spend this day counting my blessings~
