It might be the end in many peoples eyes,
But we must look at it as a new beginning,
Where we all can start afresh,
Putting the past behind,
Looking forward to a bright new future.

As I looked into the night sky,
The sight of it amazes me,
All the stars shining brightly,
Looking down on you and I.

For if its true about the stars,
Then I'm glad that they shine,
Shining so brightly,
Holding themselves up high,
Knowing that they are looking down proudly,
'Cause they have reached a new level,
Where they can look down on the world,
With a deep loving smile.

They have the best thing next to them,
The moon, that will help them along,
To a new world of peace,
Where they can finally rest their tired eyes.

The day that the world stood still,
I cast my eyes across the crowd,
Seeing everyones heads bowed,
Remembering all that have perished,
And thinking of their families.

Families that have fear etched on their faces,
Knowing that their loved ones may never come back,
Hoping that the front door will swing open,
Hoping to see that loving smile as the approach,
But deep down, they know all is lost,
And that its time to finally say goodbye.

Lay their bodies to rest,
Letting their souls free,
Free to be the shining star,
The one that you'll see soaring up high,
Guiding you along as you walk alone,
In a world we can no longer call our own.

We always tried to make the world peaceful,
We always knew that it would be a long and painful process,
We never expected so many twists and turns,
Or to face evil along the way,
But with the world full of determination,
We know we'll pull through,
An alliance through and through,
Making the world a better place,
For our children of the future

It is nice to know that a friend in Scotland was looking on with understanding of our pain.  Joyce

Aww Lonestar,

This is heart-rendering. Blessed are those who went to Him.

Can't resist adding alil more touch of hope here, hope you don't mind:

But its only in my dreams
I reach out to you
And I know you'll always be there
Bit by bit I go up the steps
Someday in heaven I'll embrace you there

Live in my heart and soul
For one day we shall be together
In the meantime shine for me
But its only in my dreams

Much Peace and Love
Michelle
