Night Breath

Deep breathe of night tranquility,
The golden touch of house lights
Allow me to be absorbed in seeking...
A trance of remembrance of home.

Driving through the streets,
I seek the familiar routes and lights-
A warm sensation caresses my palms.
Yet in the same blink of traffic lights,
I feel so far away... from home.
I seek the loneliness side of the night.

Breathing softly
Deep in thoughts,
Beating gently
With the wind,
I sing out a chant
To reconcile.

Breathing softly
In my dreams,
Seeking yesterday
In my mind,
I seek for peace to
Speak my heart.

Star-
Shining bright in the sky,
Moon-
In her fullness
Capture light from dark.
Yet in my dreams
I am all alone-
The only sheep there
In pasture.

And there comes a firefly
Rekindles my soul and aims.
(mp)suddenly I recall someone
who has quietly waited at night
For my return...
till the fireflies dazed her eyes-
Bang! Honey, I'm home now...(fades)
and we chatted till the dawn.

Night no longer ho-ld
Me back.
I can see her eyes
Looking for the same star.

Deep breathe of night tranquility,
The golden touch of house lights
Allow me to be absorbed in seeking...
A trance of remembrance of home.

thanks Betty Wish you be always joyful!

Originally I was thinking foregin students missing their parents. Also from personal experience, that I immigrant to Canada six years ago (with my family), I've just described the loneliness I was feeling. I'm glad that you all like it.
