From Where I am midi file

Graduates of the Flame

For thirteen-hundred years we've come to schools,
And now bright souls shining in the sun,
Have made a timely journey,
Over desks and books and bells,
To learn now that our lives have just begun.

We are the graduates of the candle's flame,
That burns still within our eager hearts.
Soaring to the stars we sing our melodies
Of the lessons learned and of our hopes,
And how we wish our lives to be.

These are my friends, I may not soon forget,
The times we spent inside these busy halls.
The seasons move in endless circumspect,
As we move forward, out to chase the call.
And backward glance the days we had it all.

And once more our hearts burn brightly,
As again we learn and move and grow,
For the day is coming soon enough we know.
When we will graduate a different kind of class.
And be joined again within the candle's glow.

Thank you Nancy, this is my first originating post since becoming a senior member. I am glad you liked it.  Decided to post here instead of open for a change. It moves a bit slower I think.  Got loads of answers for your many questions.... fire away... Love ya dear,

Sherry darling girl, I finally got myself in here, so I came if not hotfoot I came. One of my all too few visits and at the moment they tend to be like lightening strikes, in and out again. Margie girl sent me in here and I’m glad I came That you can write well I acknowledge, when you write and the image is as clear and fresh as this is I applaud you, when you do so and my spirit lifts to dance I stand and shout well done.

Truly exceptional writing beautifully presented thank you for the gift this is

O M G .... I just rolled out of bed.... and I here I am.... I couldn't have imagined this kind of response to my poem.  I am glad that I decided to post here instead of the open forum. I think I will stay a while.  feels real cozy. Thank you, everyone for repsonding in such a positive way to this post.... it has been a while since I have had the time to post anything at all.... I didn't realize that I was missed. Geee thanks... you have ALL made my day....
A special thanks to Marge for emailing me with your suggestions and help.... What I did was finally resize another gif to fit.  I think I messed my (your) original up in Corel when I was uploading it. And thanks for telling Marsha  You are both dears!!!

Have a wonderful Christmas Season and I hope to be in here again before then.
