Winter Divine… a magical time

Winter- it’s a magical time
with a crackling fire warming the house
and pumpkin pie baking in the oven,
children yank on their fleece lined boots
and tie bright red scarves around their necks
tugging at little mitts,
meant for rolling frosty to life,
then dash out into the world of wintry white,
excitedly declaring a jolly snowball fight!
When they’re filled to the brim with fun,
into the house they run-
tossing cold boots and wet mitts everywhere.
Mama pours mugs of steaming hot chocolate
and observes her children
comparing marshmallows,
and chattering about the next outing.
With a soft smile on her lips
she whispers to the angels above-
I pray every winter will be this bright.
Winter is indeed magical,
and delightfully divine

This is a charming remembrance of a child's winter.

Deb,

This brings back so many wonderful memories of those magical days of childhood! Frosty on the outside, yet warm and cozy on the inside! Thank you!
