You're in the Doll's House
You mean you don't know it?
Well if you come to learn too much
You know you're gonna blow it!

It's safe and warm and cosy here
Why don't you stay inside?
Just keep your little eyes closed
And stay real satisfied

All the cops are smilin'
Now you're doin' fine!
They're your big brother
IF you stay in line

But look out the window
And you will surely find
Another world is waiting
To which you're deaf and blind

Stay here inside working hard
Leave the rules to us
Believe in what we tell you
And never make a fuss

Now in here it's real cosy
When you obey the State
But if you get too nosy
We can't assure your fate

If you stick your nose out
Know there ARE no rules
Protection is only inside
Where we keep the fools

If you get too curious
About how we keep the peace
You'll see our smiles soon turn to snarls
And find we're NOT so nice

So stay within the system
That's where the rules apply
Stay within the Doll's House
If you don't ..... you die.

Hey,Allan,I was wondering where you got to!
How are things in Scotland?I like your offering here, and, unfortunately have to agree with what you are saying.I always wondered at the possible reality of being arrested for no reason at all except for not agreeing with how "They" operate "Us",or simply for no reason what-so-ever.Kind of had it happen to me once.It had a very profound impact on me to the point of not really believing in justice anymore.I'd go around spitting out the word "Justice" as if it were a curse word.Anyway, this is another good write from you.Write some more.

Peace,Geoff

I think this is cleverly written. The fact is sad though. Why not immigrate?

Hi Geoff, nice to see you here again. Thanks for dropping in. It's interesting you had some direct experience of the system. I think most people have a very idealised view of their policers. Especially since 9/11 - I do believe they want a big brother (in both senses). The implanting of chips at birth to monitor citizens each nanosecond from geo-positional satellite just took a massive step closer!

Take care. All the best.
Allan

Aries, do you want me to immigrate to the U.S.? NO-THANK-YOU!!!
