Your arrogant elitist attitude
demanded that I take
double doses of milk of magnesia.
You considered yourself a paragon
of high society and good breeding,
all because of your family tree.
In reality,
you generally exhibited
a rather phillistine attitude.
Odd, but I can't help but believe
my humble middle-class roots
yielded more resplendent fruit.
You sat there in front of your TV
and tried repeatedly to insult me,
but lacked the necessary vocabulary,
not to mention sufficient imagination
to pull it off.
So I left you to contemplate your navel.
(and I'm not talking about oranges)

Hello! Yes, it wasn't a very positive relationship. But it is far enough in the past that I've been able to distance myself emotionally as well as physically.
Thanks for reading my stinging rant.

kacy,
Thought for a second you'd been in town and didn't say "hey"! All is forgiven. Good purge, btw.

Mornin', Larry. A good purge goes a long way towards setting my whole system back on track.
I'd NEVER pass your way without a HEY! and  a hearthug.

Hi,Kacy,I just wanted to tell you how much I really like this! The thing about it is that it really stirs my curiosity as to the story behind this.I don't mean to pry.If it is very personal or brings up painful memory,
please leave me to just ponder your stingingly eloquent offering here! The phrasing and passion with which you write compels.Extremely well written. Thanks for sharing. In my library

Smartest chick, thanks for reading. You are so right.

Geoff, thank you so much for your kind reply! Yes, this sting was just a release of some frustration I experienced in a personal relationship. I'm glad it is in the past, and I hope I never have to bring out that stinger again. PS, I was born under the sign of the Scorpion.

Sorry-to-say,I relate. You know, sometimes the frustration level can get so high, that anger over someone's insensitivity.I had to come in and read this once again and respond to you.I don't think I have read a better "touche".I think somehow that we are the lucky or blessed ones that we can take that rage over injustice and throw our hearts onto pages.Again,I just think that you have the epitomy of "The Last Word" here."The pen is mightier than the sword"!

Peace,Geoff

Midnitesun:  I hope life is much better for you now and you have someone who appreciates you.  Good retort to someone who didn't!

Thanks, Betty. Sometimes it's almost fun to act like a scorpion. Yes, I am so much happier now!

Hey Geoff! Since that guy doesn't read poetry and would never venture into this place, I guess I got the last word.
OK, I promise to put my stinger away now.
Sorry you can relate to this, hope all is OK now.
