Storybook Sweetie Pie
~*Marge Tindal*~

Cinderella shed her slippers
to sit barefooted in storybook land
Tick-Tock struck the clock
in merry-making of stories grand~

Trinkets and 'stuffies' cast aside
as Samantha takes a fantasy ride
Carpet of magic whisks her away
to the land where a Princess can play~

And with the joy that reading brings
she quickly yells in delight
Grandma !Grandma !
Let me read you a story tonight~

~PRECIOUS painting of her Granddaughter, Samantha
by my artist friend, June Somerford Williamson~

Marge, you and your friend should do a book together - you the poet, she the artist. I think it would be a best seller!!!

I love this. But then you knew I would!

Marge, how much I wish I had a granddaughter to share this with. Perhaps some day. I will keep this as it is such a treasure.

The picture is just precious and your words are so cute and special.

I'm printing this off for my sweet Hannah to have.  She could have posed for this a year ago.  Now she is too busy running her fat off.  Love, Joyce

Delightful

~Friends~
I can only take credit for finding the words for this outstanding painting ... June is soooooo talented ... when my granddaughter, Delaney, gets a little older ... we're gonna find that 'perfect pose' so that June can capture her spirit in a painting~

Thank you ALL for the encouragement for June and I to continue 'working' on a book to combine our arts~

June~  I love you for letting me play with your beautiful little Samantha ... Tee-Hee .. she grew a whole bunch in the time it took us to figure out 'how' to piece this one together~

Marge~
This is just too adorable...painting and words alike.
You already know how much I love the combined efforts
of you and June and I hope that book is coming along well.
Love and big hugs,

This is such a cute combination. The picture is lovely and the peom made me want to be a child again, no responibility and most importnantly no exams. Have felt truly useless lately and this poem made me smile. Thanx for sharing, dx
