With each passing moment another leaf drops from the tree
Sudden breezes activate a waterfall of golden leaves
That ride the wind unto unknown destinations
Will winter come quickly?
Or will her coming, be inconspicuous and unnoticed
When old man winter comes knocking
Will Autumn slam the door to season past
And heave us straight forward into a frigid winter?

So lovely is your poetry! I would love to see winter forget to come and Spring come next month....oh well, doesn't hurt to dream! Hugs, Ellie

I certainly hope it slams the door and brings on the winter..lol...I shouldn't hope for such here in Gulfport though.
Lady, your nature and season poetry is always wonderous. I hope you're well wherever you are.

dear Songbird,
may old man winter shut the door nicely this year, and may his visit be brief!

Let us go and make our visit."
