You say dawn is better than sunset,
But I find it hard to believe.
Sunset is relaxing... ready for bed.
Dawn is so unsure... of weather.
Getting up at six o'clock,
Seems to be a heavy task.
It's so easy to watch hue changes.
My body unwilling to change dispositions.
The sunset signal gloomy sky to be filled.
Even so, I sympathize with the omen.

Night is the omen of rest,
Dawn is the omen of life.
Bird's chorus rings to the ear,
Lifting up what it seems to be uncertain.
Somewhere near you, a bird visits.
Do you pour your heart out to a listener?
Do you open your window,
Invite her to dinner,
and let her music comfort you?

Somewhere, maybe a stranger,
comes to you and drops a line.
Do you just say Hi, and
Pass on like you've never met him?
Or do you ask of his family?
Isn't God's grace that he comes in your need?

The world is full of darkness,
Yet it makes light a contrast.
The light is so bright that
Dawn cast away night,
Allowing chances to slip into our life.

Dawn or sunset.  They both have their own merits.  One leading to life, the other to rest.  Lovely thoughts.  Joyce

thanks, actually I've made lots of grammer mistakes in the poem. I apologize for that.

Eliza:  This is an interesting poem.  I wouldn't want to do without either dawn or sunset.  They are both so beautiful in their own way.
