Maturing Poet

When fountain pen replaced the quill,
It was touted a sure success.
The ball point pen succeeding this,
Hailed as a wonderment, no less.

The once marvelous typewriter
Has into history faded.
Computer purchased yesterday
Is fast becoming outdated.

If my poems were as clever
And smart, as instruments I use,
My writings would be exquisites,
Not one editor could refuse.

William Shakespeare would be passe
And I'd be "Poet of the Day"!

lol Joyce. If only the equipment ensured good poetry. Alas, the quill is as good as any instrument if we but have the right words to record...

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost
