I love to soak in a bubble bath,
After a long, hard day,
I sink right in, up to my chin
As my cares are washed away.

I lower the blind and lock the door
And then I dim the light,
I ease myself into the warmth
With nobody else in sight.

Alone in my own inner sanctum,
I find some peace of mind,
And fill my head with pleasant thoughts,
This is my special time.

we all need this special time to collect our thoughts. good job on this piece.

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

Pegasus111---why, thank you! Some of my most creative thoughts come while I'm soaking away the cares of the day.

Earth angel:  This sounds heavenly.  In my family however, when I decide to take a bubble bath, that's when everyone seems to "need" me to do something!! Even the dog comes and barks at the door!

Angel, this sounds like heaven.  the last line really works for me, especially after the preceding lines.  i wanted to fill up my own bathtub.  i cant remember the last time i had a bubble bath.  though "cares are washed away" sounds a little cliche, the piece was very effective.

B.L.Becker---you got a chuckle out of me with "Angel, this sounds like heaven."

I love my baths! I soak and relax, contemplate and meditate...even if I can't do it until the middle of the night!...I do it everyday! It cleans my inside as well as my outside!

I like this one. I find solitude in flying
across blue skies. We all need a place to call our own.

I can't help feeling some kind of emptiness
Even when such time is needed
