Gaining Loss

Each day I'm growing shorter
And I was not ever tall.
Perhaps instead of dying
I'll just shrink to none at all.

Is that an oxymoron?
How can anyone grow short?
That's what he said I'm doing
On my last doctor's report.

So if you find me missing,
I'm not anywhere about,
Don't think I have deleted.
I've just shorted myself out.

Joyce:  Really cute and clever!  I guess we all tend to shrink as we grow older. Strange isn't it?

lol Joyce..thanks for the smile today. this is so true. I told my mom if she got any shorter she could sleep in a dresser drawer...

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

Joyce---You're not getting shorter---you're getting better! I love your sense of humour and your writing.

Those intervertibral discs flatten out with time---and so do we! Ha! Ha!
---Actually not so haha if you don't have the inches to spare!

! Joyce! I'm so glad I caught this! This is one of the most cleverest and humourous offerings I have yet read. You have excellent phrasing too.Needless-to-say,this is one to add to my library.Anyway, take those vitamins! Don't want to see that there is a sequel to "The Incredible Shrinking Woman" anytime soon!

LOL at this one. I'm sure glad I stopped by and read this tonight. Being only 5'3" myself, I can relate to this. Geez, I hope I don't shrink!!!! Thanks for the laugh,
Kacy.

Thanks for the chuckle. On the bright side, you ARE longer than you are tall.

Besides, short people are that last ones to get rained on.

Have a good day,

Your delightful sense of humor is showing, Joyce! I Love it! I've also lost an inch and a half the past couple of years. I should weigh less too, right?!

Thank you Geoffry.  Maybe if I had done more bouncing, I wouldn't be so short.  Thanks.  Joyce

LOL!! Joyce you crack me up! Maybe you could eat some spinach and grow??? That's what my mom told me when I was a kid.
I have to say, I do understand about the shrinkage thing. I'm sure my day will come to.
BTW~
In case you should disappear keep a note attached to your clothes and simply state: Joyce was here.
