* takes her hand into his *
* slips the ring off her finger *
* looks into her cold blue eyes *
* will never have her to hold again *
* a stray tear falls down his face *
* her beautiful blue eyes closed forever *
* lips never to speak another word to him *
* hand never to slip into his again *
* to feel the softness of his skin *
* as they lower her down into the cold wet snow *
* he whispers in her ear *
* I will always love you *
* until the end *

Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before-Edgar Allen Poe

Beautiful, it made me sad, but it's lovely.

Thank you so much, I lost someone close to me when I was about five and it was really hard for me,so I wanted to express it through a poem even if that wasn't how it worked.

Riley:  Very expressive!  It's always so difficult to say good-bye to someone we love. Memories are a treasure we can always keep.

This is very well done.  I am sorry that you suffered a loss as a child.  It must be so hard to understand when you are so young.  Love, Joyce

Yea, it was very hard. And well dealing with it was a lot worse, but I got through it.

Riley,

Such a deep heart-felt poem. I too know about loss. It never completely goes away, Thank you for sharing.
