in the pouring rain

A sweet voice echos
By the tranquil water
A small silvery rain drop
Falls in, feeding the pond

The voice, so strong and willing
Rings out, so soft
Carried out over the water
By the gentle blow of the wind

Suddenly a face appears in the lake
I remember it like it happened yesterday
You told me you loved me over and over
And I know you ment it

Then a soft splash of water comes over me
I wake up, only a dream
But in my heart it is still going
Over and over so true

Yes, I know, but in my case that sort of relates to this poem, my dream was squashed by the guy. So sometimes the do and then they don't. You can only have faith.

Dear Riley,  There will be another fish in the sea or as you expressed it, face in the water.  Good writing.  Love, Joyce
