Southern moon
Blazon yellow
The pines reach high for you
Slowly their presence fades
Softly into the night

My gaze captures you
In memories
Of Dixie nights

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

Songbird:  Lovely poem!  I've never seen a southern moon, only northern ones, but I'm sure it's beautiful!

I love those Dixie nights, I want more of them.

Thank you.

I'm always drawn to poems about the moon.
You did a nice job writing.
Great imagery as well!
