hush
.
.
.
child
weep no more
follow the golden flow
.
.
.
dream
to that fair distant land
where ancients stand
firmly planted on one foot
in mother earth
with gnarled hands on the staff of life
shaded eyes dream
into a dark-star light
raven wings flow
unlocked plaited desires
wind
down in ebony dreams
of the lost child
halo’d in steam
.
.
who runs into a flowered sun
liquid sunshine
chamomile dreams
pour through clutching fingers
over the plains of time
crimson pain
flows backward in a stream
hand touches hand
river of lines
in your palms
the future waits
as the captured lion roars
hooded eyes’ longing call
water buffaloes low

hush child hush

grandmother croons
rocking arms embrace
past into future into days
of now
rooted baobab tree branches interlace
infinity
glows golden dreams
all in a cup of chamomile tea
soothing sleep
.
.
sleep
girl-child
sleep
rocking on the waves
of futures’ past
sleep
and dream
of
sun shining days
that are there in reality
along those matrix lines of time
of your dreams

hush child hush

lay your weary
head on the shoulder of peace
cry no more
just sleep
in a sweet tide
of chamomile
dreams
.
.
.
hush

What dreams could be sweeter.  Excellent poem.  I see now how you received your name.  I look forward to reading more.

dancer my dear, what a wonderful picture you have made here. your words are beautiful to behold.  bravo!

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

Oh, this just rolls along on exquisite visions...
such a beautiful atmosphere, Wordancer...
and warm with emotion.

A veritable tresure trove of exqisite poetic wording! Beautiful, Wordancer!!

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.
