The Humming Tree

Our maple tree, with branches spread,
Offers many a leafy bed
To hummingbirds, who like to hide
And watch the feeder, hung outside.

They come and go all through the day
And launch themselves in wild display
And when you walk beneath the tree,
It hums with birds, quite vibrantly!

moondust:  Thanks.  We have so many humming birds here and the big maple in our front yard is always full of them.  Some of them nest there too, as well as watch the feeder.

Joyce:  Hummingbirds are such a welcome sight for me in April or May.  I only have one four cup feeder up but have been filling it every day so guess it's time to put up some more.

Marge:  Hooray for hummers!!  I just love to watch them.  It is almost dark here and I can still see and hear them at the feeder outside my window.  They atart in about 5:00 a.m and seems like they are filling the air all day.
