Completely sated with the love of family today
I sit in sweet surrender with my mind on a replay
Of this Mother's day experiences, brunch and gifts and cards;
My daughters and grandchildren all extending their regards.
Graciously I acknowledged all my subjects with a smile
And reveled in my guise as matriarch for just a while.
With dual role of Mother and beloved Grandmother too,
How fortunate I am to have the family I do.
With feet on ground tomorrow as just Mom and Grandma, I
Look to the same excitement on my birthday in July.

Isn't it wonderful to have a loving, caring family? You are blessed Joyce. Happy Mother's Day to you...
