Could Be Anywhere...

a memory unique

Soft, mid-spring breeze kisses the dew
glimmering like a teardrop upon her cheek
finest jewel in all the realms, nay universe.

Silk and lace rustle in promised competition
dewdrop on edge of most beautiful petal
the taste is of eternity, eternal life, youth.

Morning light stealing with his wispy shadow
canopy twinkles as thread captures rainbows
another rustle, as beauty softly awakens.

The smile that ignited one thousand poems
enriched florists, jewelers, apothecaries
the very smile that heaven must wear.

Unspoken promise fills, warms the chamber
beauty awakens in the arms of her admirer
the world is perfect if only for that moment.

His question vulnerable upon bended knee
her answer slides upon her beloved finger
sealed with nary a word, just precious lips.

Beauty has gifted; the story shall live
safely snuggled in velvet box, some say antique
a proposal that transcends, a memory unique.
