As I look upon the diamond strewn sky And listen to the waves of the dark, deep ocean crash upon the rocks... As I feel the cool of the breeze across my face And I smell the honeysuckle-sweet fragrance of the beach... My mind drifts back Back to a time A time long ago A time I wish had never ended... Now my senses They've gone mad Giving me such strong sensations Sensations of when you were here with me... As I remember each and every touch, Every sound, All the smells, All of which combined renders my heart helpless... I've nowhere to turn Nowhere to go that I can escape from these feelings These emotions that have taken control... And now I sit and gaze at the stars as they dance above... In them I see you I see your eyes They too dance They dance and shimmer As they swim behind the tears that are welling up They are seen in my minds' eye as never before... My mind is now captive A captive in a cell of memories... Memories that shall not cease Memories of an unforgotten past A past that shall never again be... All the diamonds of the sky become blurry As tears wrap around my eyes And then I weep... I weep for my love Lost now to the eternity that is forever... As the time passes I am still left in the past with my memories... Left there Where Loves' ugly face tears my heart to bits each day And each day brings me a little closer to forever GOD's greatist gift is LOVE [This message has been edited by Roberta Little (04-17-2002 09:20 AM).] |
