I lost my only friend today
exactly why I cannot say

Maybe my manner’s not the best
or their patience that I test

I just don’t know what it can be
why people won’t be friends with me

Could it be a humor thing
or the off key notes I sing

I don’t know, I’m really stumped
in this stereotype I’m clumped

I really try to do my best
to fit in with all the rest

I guess I’m doomed to lonely be
I’ve lost my only friend you see

Maybe someday I’ll find a friend
and this emptiness I feel will end

So in this silent room at night
I sit with pen and slowly write

Of paper friends that smile at me
paper friends that love faithfully

That’s all I have, it’s sad I know
but I have nowhere else to go.

A good collection of sadness. But, someone else must have forced you to write them. You definitely have plenty of friends right here.
