Sinking mud
like a meat sauce whirlpool of spagetti,
sucks us into the hot pot of lava,
losing our sense in suffocation.

We yell in pain,
pain of our heart.
Nobody knows our suffering,
or understand
the hidden truths.

The mud is dragging our boots,
as we try to get up.
Each step we press, we fall even deeper
into the mud.
And the heat from below
is burning our flesh away.

We die this way to build a pile
of muddy corpses, or have we made
a tasty soup for our General?

Aries: I have read "All Quiet on the Western Front" and this is a very imaginative piece you have written.
