Does the sea kiss the shore,
as gently?
Do storms rage at sea,
with this passion?

When did the sun rise
to kiss the dew,
or set upon a crimson sky,
that is kissed by a twilight moon,
ever know a true loves kiss?

When a velvet midnight sky
kisses the stars awake,
or lightning flash and thunder roar,
upon a summers midday sweet,
can all of these ever say
they know
my lovers kiss transcends
all mystery and joy,
that mortal man may know?

A kiss
beyond the years of time.
Eternal promised dawn
of velvet skies
and stars of wonders joy.
Beyond a cosmic dream.

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.
