If I Could Paint
~*~
If I could paint a field
I’d paint it rose pink
where I could lie down
in crushed rose petals
and stare at white puffy clouds
and do nothing but think

If I could paint a mountain top
I’d paint it a soft violet
and sink to my knee’s
in soft purple pansy’s
and thank God that I’m free

If I could paint the ocean
I’d paint it a fiery gold
with crystalline shimmering waves
that crest toward heaven
then I would know
I had reached my highest goal

but no...
I need only to see
the world is a masterpiece
a predestined design
with matchless beauty
for all mankind
and peace comes from within
with God’s grace that abounds
with this knowledge
my freedom is found

I don’t need to paint the world
I just need to get on my knee’s
and thank God for all that I have
and truly believe
that all I see
is meant to be
for you and for me

This is so pretty!  However, I don't think any artist can improve on what we already have!
