I love when the simple things
a person does, a smile brings
when the way she smiles
makes me dance like Snoopy
its funny how my simple soul
rejoices loud, and brash and bold
she makes me happy
that makes her glad
its been going so long
its not a fad
and that in and of itself
is magic not from dimestore shelf
that magic that makes each night
and day...easier to be alive.
and when she blushes from
my heartfelt words
or tries to tell me i'm absurd
then I know I've hit the bull's eye
of her heart..and encouraged so
I gush and ramble on and on
writing words like blackbird song
caught amidst the sunlight and the dew
she's a keeper, beauty rare
and though her life has many cares
hell, so does mine but burdens
can be better when they're shared
should I name? hardly ...no
she really hates it don't you know,
so I write about her never naming names

" and I dream of her always,
even when I don't dream.
her name's on my tongue
and her blood's in my stream."

I hope she knows how fortunate she is, this un-named friend.  Joyce

Though the love between them be unspoken,it roars like a lion in the wilderness
of two hearts that beat for each other.

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost
