The next night we departed, For Bigfoot Hall uncharted. But Des assured us both we'd find the way. " Follow Orion's belt till morning light. Just as sunshine breaks the night. Then take a right and keep on Going until noon." Snow paw, ancient magi-cat, Floated us both on my carpet mat And through the night we flew Fast,wild and free. Puffing both of us on pipes, We easily followed Orion's lights And off to Squatch's place we happily sail. " So tell me Sol, what's it like? " " To live with myths each day and night?" " Always have someone knocking at your door?" ‘ I like it Snowpaw, it feels right.' ‘ To have them there both day and night.' ‘Regardless of how hectic life may often seem.' Then all around us light did stir. The breaking dawn warmed skin and fur, as man and feline sage soaked up the sun. We took a right as we'd been told and flying on our carpet bold, like Aladdin in one of those thousand arabian night! When at noon we both did see the ever-busy Destiny, perched upon a snowcloud clean and bright. " Only one more hour to go" she said. " But I think I'll ride with you instead!" As she fluttered to our carpet in the sky. " The question shouldn't be...'Why are we here?' but rather 'ARE we here? " |
