Untouched are the yearnings of my heart,
drifting in a sea of uncertainty,

this lovely vision I see in my soul,
is but a mirage, a child of thurst,

taunting, inviting, vanishing;
only to return again wickedly naked,

searing the flesh with desperate need,
for that which is simply a smoky ruse,

a ploy to torture love’s downtrodden,
driving the hopeless to agony and despair,

go faithless image, to your nothingness,
you have done your work well this day.

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

I don't know what is tormenting your soul, but you make me feel the pain.  Glad to hear from you again.  Joyce

I remember the days of this torture, only too well! Not any more, though. Finding God and gaining that Peace has made all the difference for me... Ellie
