I am terrified by this path I walk,
knowing that behind me eternity,
in front of me forever - the circle of time.

I have come to this point in the path,
the point I have come to many times before,
but today I stand here thinking about you.

You are in my past, this I know from the little
glimpses of the future.

And I know, that to be with you again,
I have to move forward,
to cross the barrier.

I want to be with you again,
in my past, where that moment of love
was forever.

I want to cross the threshold with you again,
because I still love your soul.

I am moving forward in time, to be
with you again in my past.
I need that moment of embrace with you,
that is the moment of everlast.

Thank you for the kind comments. I wrote this poem about a year ago. It was written 6 months after I perminently departed with my soul mate. It's about a Norwegian Princess who touched a mans soul with love, deeper than any other human being in all of my life, she left me because I would not accept christ as my lord and savior. I never loved another human being as much as I did her. She really broke my heart into pieces and a part of my soul died forever. But we have to move on otherwise our soul dies a little each day.

this is absolutley beautiful.  You remind me of someone I know...  he too was hurt by a princess, but from his pain grew strength.  He knows who he is now.. I dont think he would have figured it out if she hadn't left.

I had to write another response because someone blew your cover and I think it's funny.  I miss you marky mark...  I am glad you are expressing yourself in here... your poetry is unreal.

How romantically sad and beautifully written!

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.
