She wasn't like the other bears
with soft and snowy polar hair
her fur was tinted high sky blue
a lovely color...I swear tis true

They said she was born neath winter moon
though round the Pole it last's through June
and smiling neath the silver light
Blue beheld with second sight

For she was not like other bears
of future far she was aware
and smiling in her mother's paws
she thought on all the things she saw

The snow...when it is newly fell
the whale's song like haunting bells
the romping play of all the seals
and how they made for hearty meals
(( she's a polar bear...veggie purists cut mama nature some slack  )

Blue did grow in grace and form
and often she did her momma warn
of dangers lurking neath the ice
and all praised Blue's wise advice

She could have made herself to cry
when her 'difference' others spied
but Blue knows... tis not color of birth
but what's inside...that makes your worth.

Songbird, Joyce, thank you very much for the compliments I have used the character template before...in many other poems...the inspiration...is easy
