The way the wnd blows through her hair
the searing fire in her stare
the way the ice can coat her voice
I feel I have no choice

and still i feel damned
like a broken hungry man
though I know its not a sin
still, I'm giving in
living through the pain
of her never ending reign

the way her voice can cut like glass
birdies silent f she should pass
the way she smiles amidst the storm
i should have been warned

and still i feel damned
like a broken hungry man
though I know its not a sin
still, I'm giving in
living through the pain
of her never ending reign

now I'm old before my time
nothing left but rhymes
though I know i've been betrayed
to her I stay chained

and still i feel damned
like a broken hungry man
though I know its not a sin
still, I'm giving in
living through the pain
of her never ending reign

You sound as if your in a tough relationship I may be wrong but I  hope everything for you is ok. A sad write but very poetic.

Poor Sol!  If I can steal a line from one of my all time favorite movies "Legend of the Fall" (and actors, Mr. Anthony Hopkins), 'You are not *pause* damned!  I will not allow that...'  I know you're going through a really rough patch, but, I guess that's why we're writers--we know how to express our pain very well!  Take care Mr. Sol!

You are a poet and have a right to write on any subject, but we all inclined to think you are writing in torment when it is only an artistic expression.  Keep up the good work.  Joyce

Joyce...

Hm...its odd but a bit of both....must be why people think that artistic types are crazy...finding joy in putting torment into words and pictures beyond their source..Thanks

Fantastic poem Sol. You express your pain and grief wonderfully. I feel as if I was you, at one point or another. To me, that is the best poetry. Where I become the poet. Dammed is tiptop.

Sincerely,
Titus
