What Price Peace ?
~*Marge Tindal*~

If peace were easy to achieve
we'd all stand at the coffers
Hands held over hearts
taking all it offered

Others have fought
and paid a price
So we could count
our blessings twice

No, my friends
peace doesn't come free
Sometimes we have to fight
paving the way for it to be

*Thanking Denise for the inspiration~
This one's yours, my friend~

So true! That's what makes America great, that we are willing to fight to be free.
Thanks for posting this poem, we can use a little spirit boost today.
Hooray for the red, white and blue!!!

Hugs,
Deb

You are so right and this is well said.  Others have already paid our way and it is up to us to keep the freedom.  Joyce

The price that has been paid down through the years has been expensive indeed. It is a shame that it has taken such a tragedy to make us more appreciative of those who fought and those who willingly made the ultimate sacrifice to preserve our freedom. I'm glad that I inspired you to write this, Marge! Thank you for such a lovely gift! God bless us all!

Marge you have said it so powerfully...and we thank God for those who have valiantly fought for our freedom and pray constantly for those who are doing so now!  Love, Ellie

BettyLou~
Thank you for the read my friend~
These are still such trying times.
We simply have to remain focused on the goal of eradicating the evil-doers~

Ellie~
Those in the battlefields need our prayers of support for sure~
Thank you.

You know with all this happening I'm begining to think of all the previous wars and all them that came before so we could have the freedom we have today.

I breathe the dust, the dust is me.
