Look For Wonders Have you seen a comet fly Or watched a star fall from the sky? It always fills me with delight. As though I'm privy to a sight Reserved for special moments when The cosmic forces meet and then, Something happens that is rare, For anyone who's looking there. Aurora Borealis meets Criteria for just such feats And geysers gushing from the ground, To overwhelm with sight and sound. Have you seen a breaching whale And watched it splash it's mighty tail? It's power and it's mystery, One of the secrets of the sea. Our channeled lives, like rivers bent On reaching oceans, mostly spent On mundane activities, Blessed with spectacles like these. So every day, I try to be Aware of life's perfidity, But look for wonders as I pass And four-leaf-clover in the grass!
