A Little Bit O' Sugar

~*Marge Tindal*~

Grandma said -
A little bit o' sugar
goes a long, long way~

Some days you may need to borrow
and some days you've enough to lend
Just a little bit o' sugar
sweetens the day of a friend

So, I ask you kindly -
One lump or two ?

~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~

Marge:  Whenever I was cranky as a child (hardly ever of course!! (ha) my grandmother would tell me "sugar catches more flies than vinegar".  It took me years to understand what she was saying! She was quite eccentric so I thought it was just part of her unique personality.

Marge; What a delightful poetic tea party we are having. Might i be so bold to ask for three? A sugar junkie needs at least three!  Love, Ellie

Paladin~
'Sugar' is metaphorical for 'sweetness' of the day~
Sooooooo, I'll just send the 'squeeze' in form of a HUG~ !
No 'lemons' here~

When I can't have honey
and haven't any money
two lumps of white cane sugar
will do me just fine,
thank you for sharing
these sweet, sweet lines

Four years this has been stewing
In its sweet poetic juice.
Now as flys drawn to pure honey
Others catch in Marge's noose.

Thanks to archives of this forum
Poems aren't erased away.
Tasty words when they were posted,
Will be just as sweet today.
