I made up a book of poetry for my six year old grandson on his birthday, Aug. 14.  This was page one.)

Mommy and Daddy were lonesome.
They didn't know what they should do.
Mommy said, "I'd like a baby,
Now Scotty wouldn't you?"
And so they did.
They had a kid.

Daddy said, "Let's call him Joseph."
Mommy said," I think that will do."
So they had a baby boy
And that baby boy was you.
They had a kid.
They were glad they did.

Joseph he grew older,
First he was one and then two.
Yes, he kept getting older,
Just like the other kids do.
He grew that kid.
That's what he did.
He grew and grew and grew.

Joyce:  8/14/01.

You got me singing your good song
A blessed poem it did make
Having a family addition
Surely was no mistake!
Joe can't do without,
He's well worth singing about!

Enjoyed it Joyce,
It was a lot of fun!

Joyce,
Super adaption of a familiar tune to a family theme! THIS WAS WONDERFUL! I loved it!

Very cute, Joyce! I'm sure he'll treasure that book even when he is old and gray...and beyond!
