Too Much Like Tears

It's such a rainy day today.
No hint of blue in skies of gray.
When I was young, I liked the sound
Of raindrops falling all around.
In fact, with my umbrella out,
I'd often go and walk about,
But now, I find I like it less.
It sounds too much like tears, I guess
And I have shed enough of those
To make a river, Heaven knows!
The rain brings somber thoughts and rue
For vanished youth and lost loves too!

This is a sad little poem.  Not your usual style, but I like it.  Joyce

Oh,BettyLou~
I just love this little umbrella'd number !

I still like a fresh-fallen rain
for the puddles it leaves on the ground
I'd rather walk right through them
than to ever walk around !

*I just love splashing through mud puddles !

Thanks for the smile !

Rain brings out the mood you’re in. It’s all in the way you look at it. I hope the sun will bring you joy.

But you must remember
that falling among the
tears of saddness
there are always
the tears of joy..
Good job..
