Wind and Eagles

Upon the crags where storms are made,
The fierce winds sing their serenade.
Eagles scream as they swiftly rise
To ride the torrents in the skies
And though they can't be seen from here,
Somewhere in the atmosphere,
Riding a river of cold air,
The eagles feel at home up there.

The earth is but a speck below,
But when they feel it's time to go,
They fold their wings and plummet down
To swoop above the forest's crown
And catch the wind to rise once more,
To brush the frame of Heaven's door.
I wonder what it's like to be
So powerful, so wild and free?
Wind and eagles call to me!

This is simply awesome, and majestic-- and lofty in the way you have captured the experience, and share the wonder of it all with us.
I think this a a most excellent poem,

BettyLou~
What a majestically portrayed vision you've shared.

Indeed, it soars ~

To fly like the eagle would be great, wouldn't it?! Great poem!

Denise:  Yes, it would be a wonderful feeling to be able to soar through the air like and eagle. They always look as if they are enjoying themselves a lot!
