Is now the time
   for the old, dull skin
      to be shed
to begin the slow, primeval dance
      of revalation
  to slide free the years
      of scars
  and allow to be seen
      the glistening rare
           sheen of the soul

as the snake sheds its skin so must we.
I am reminded of a Taoist syaing "WHat the caterpillar  calls the end, the world calls a butterfly" beautiful poem.

I am shedding skin constantly and I totally related to this!

Thanks all for reading and responding. This is the first brand new poem i have posted. It is good to know the words are still there when given the inspiration.

It reminds of spring and rebirth, but it takes such bravery to shed old skin and let the true soul shine though!
Nice job!

Wonderful! The challenge and fun of new beginnings...and after all, the real us is the one found inside...that is where our true beauty shines! Ellie
