You shall not fade from memory,my Love
I won't allow such a degrading thought
for all the joy and peace was deemed above
and from the words you gave the heavens bought
I will not reconcile a loss come nigh
unto my heart where sores are bleeding still
I loved you then I love you now, in sigh
and now that feeling formulates my will
We carried one another through a time
when none before could touch forbidden word
and now I carry you within my rhyme
for those to read before my eyes that blurred
You fade, I bring you back to me again
to hold you in a candlelight of rain.

and the sun drips honey."

That's right. A loving poem. And, memories are the fastest thing in the universe.

I loved this!  It reminds me somewhat of some of Browning's work.

I can relate to these words, memories are the percious thing we have, they become engrained in us. they may fade but they never vanish. beautiful writing

I just have to say I love these lines, Kathleen.  Superb!!!!

You fade, I bring you back to me again
to hold you in a candlelight of rain.

All writing comes
by the grace of God.
