Dark hooded eyes that burn into my brain,
a message clear and painful to my heart,
finished they say, ended now as it began,
with a sudden fury that engulfs the flesh,
a searing pain so excruciating, my breath
leaves my body with an anguished sob of protest,
the chill in your stare thickens my tongue,
seizing me with an unbearable thirst,
arms tense at my side, fingers ache to touch,
to reach out and hold that which they need,
that which was once so familiar, so sure,
now an angry force alien to my senses,
a thunderstorm, sudden, all consuming,
washes away my hope, drowns my soul,
because I love you more than my life,
and my love now stands pitifully alone.

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

I loved this description...I have reeled like that, and you put it well.

I hurt after reading this!
