I Only See You With My Heart You come to me with your tears crying about latest wrinkle, maybe two. Laughing I take you in my arms to whisper once again just how very much... I love you. Darling, I don’t see you with my eyes I only see you, with my heart! I don’t see extra pounds, I don’t see time, I don’t see the scars. I don’t see imperfections I don’t see us separate or even just apart... ‘cause baby, I only see you, with my heart! When I must open my eyes I see lifes dirty, sneaky little lies. Some say I bury my head in the sand or that I live in a fantasy land. I just choose, not to use, my eyes I only see you, with my heart! When I use these old eyes I see the world, and it’s demise. Friends all accuse, cause eyes I don’t use I don’t want to join, be part of that crew. I have made my decision, and gave my vow I only see you, with my heart! These eyes, they do lie so darlin remind me, when you cry. If I look and see you unkindly please take my hand, help me understand remind me, my eyes are lying again. Beautiful love song, Daniel, very beautiful! The eyes alone can never see the full picture. The heart's vision is always the way to view someone! Very well expressed! Can't wait to hear this set to music! |
