A snake atop a sound,
Gnawing through the mound,
Reaching across a timeless length,
Acknowledges their similar faith,

Peaking at me through its confusion,
Staring me down forever,

Seeking to free itself,
From what once seemed right,
Too late for it is chosen,
Asking for help endlessly,

The mound undisturbed,
Continues to stand…

I can't quite picture this but there are no snakes except good garden snakes here.  And I never even see one of those.  Good poem, however. Joyce

I am in reality using a fake snake and speakers to show a connection between the past(the snake) and the new technology(the new world)

ah-ha, I see it once it was explained, perhaps the connection (the sound) needs to be a bit clearer so that we can grasp it.  Interesting concept and image.
