Give me just a minute to explain How sorry I am that it didn't work out Must have been the rain Came and took our sun away And remember if you will That I love you still And you could a hear a pin drop When you walked in that house Did you know what you were about to find? My heart was the cheating kind Can't go back in time And free me from this crime And I have no regrets No I have no shame Must be moving on Cause my past is gone And if you can't understand How I feel That's ok Cause I can't explian any better Must be human nature Must not be the marrying kind Just got to get it off mind And you could a hear a pin drop When you walked in that house Did you know what you were about to find? My heart was the cheating kind Can't go back in time And free me from this crime And I have no regrets No I have no shame Must be moving on Cause my past is gone And our yesterdays left us A long time ago Our tomorrows we'll never see Baby you had to know No use crying Baby dry your eyes Couldn't have come as such a Big surprise... And everyone there knew We were all thinking of Some other lover They didn't talk about it Just laughed about it And you thought you were the last to know Should have seen it coming No body to blame Though it will never be the same All of your so called friends The things they'd say to me Did they know how much I loved you Baby to my heart I wasn't always true And remember when the sun lights up your day I carry your love with me along the way But I must be on my way And you could a hear a pin drop When you walked in that house Did you know what you were about to find? Great writing Julie; I could see this as a song pretty easily...maybe Rob Thomas could do one of his sing-a-longs with Brooks & Dunn.  And, I'm happy to see you finally read my words and happier to see that you liked'em. thank you...you said a lot of nice things and made me smile for sure I do have a question though...if you have no regrets, how could it be love? Tony~~~Thank you and I would be in awe if Rob Thomas ever even consider singing a song I wrote!! But thank you it was sweet.....And as for your question.....when it is love turned bitter and you've made mistakes that can't be undone well it is just unhealthy to live with regrets....in other words to make a long story short...if you regreted your past then all of those years were wasted right??? anyway long story...thank you for your reply...
