            Waiting

In my hand a photograph
Looked upon and hardly worn
An image of a lovely lass
A face that lights my light of dawn.

She dwells my person heart and mind
And ever stays inside of me
The photograph plays a part
Like a sip of mornings tea.

She sets an overflowing desk
Speaks to me each mornings light
I'd swear her lips tilt up a bit
In fantasies created sight.

Whatever, it's the sight of her
That puts the spring on to my way
And I am waiting patiently
To hold her on some future day.

I pause the bed of time consume
And sit and wait besides a beach
A favored spot we both agreed
Invisible and hard to reach.

It stays with me in secret quest
A private thing, a private jest.

Everybody has their dreams and would be lost without them. I like the private jest line, that capped off a wonderfully written piece of poetry...love the dreamlike scenes..love the rhyme...you've got a great poetic talent.

Another wonderful poem. A beautiful fantasy but yet seeming within reach. Well written
