Completion

If  worlds merged by mere will,
never again an awakening chill
would round me wrap in fading dream,
for we would be -- not merely seem.
I close my eyes and know you near.
As chaos fades your voice I hear.
Desire leads by your warm hand,
drawing me into destiny’s plan.
With gentle intent your chin I lift,
across your lips my mouth I drift.
Feel my hand from shoulder slip
to trail my path along your hip.
Look deeply in my eyes, just see
that by your side I wish to be.
When memory saddens day again,
disheartening soul from within,
step into my arms and anchor there.
Hear my whisper caress your hair.
With tenderness you reach out
pulling me from the arms of doubt.
I feel you pick me up, dusting away
the weariness of a darker day.
Into our night serenity slips,
quieting with lover’s lips,
as gently you bid me know
love in me again can grow.

Marge, A  poet - a - holic, aye? I'm a bit of that myself. Thank you for the colourful greeting, m'lady! I'm very much enjoying getting my feet wet here. There are many, many good poets in this forum...pleasantly challenging...and very wonderful reading!  *s*

Rosepetals for cheekcolour? Enchanting...laughing...
I'm sure both Marge and Maureen understand... *S
