Words spoken in darkness
whispered in my ear
carry softly an invitation
their wanton motive quite clear

Butterfly touches upon a cheek
path traced by fingertips
Goosebumps pebble the trail
traveled by softly searching lips

Does the heart beat louder
As day turns into night?
Will regret show itself
or will love finally requite

In darkness now we whisper
Of a promise and a plan.
for a bright tomorrow
and of when we first began

Darkness surrounds us
With soft words, sighs of bliss
immersion of our oneness
praying it stays like this

**Jamie (Prometheus) and I had such fun writing this together but found it difficult as the sheets got soaked with perspiration - the sheets of paper! What did you think we meant! LOL

Beautiful poem Sharon and Jamie! Loved that second verse, especially "butterfly touches upon a cheek."  And that last verse... I hope and pray it stays like that too! Wonderful!

Thank you all for your kind words! Jamie? Where are you? LOL

Can you tell which are my words and which are his? It's hard for ME and is there! This was fun and I urge everyone to give it a shot...are two poet heads better than one? Well, maybe not better, but certainly more fun!

PoetdeVine and Prometheus~

Well, this is wonderful !
You two did a wonderful job on
this collaborative effort.
Sharon and Jamie you both are so talented.
What a talent to be able to work together.

Prometheus is certainly in the right profession to put out the fires this one ignites !

Firefighters are ALWAYS in heat !

Here's a little poem I did by that title

I echo PDV's thank you's.
And I am here Sharon...lol
I cannot recommend highly enough writing with someone... I have greatly enjoyed this one and the ones I have done with Maree and Kamle as well. It keeps you on your toes, gives you fresh perspective and the give and take is a great exercise in compromise...lol

And Paula-- my eyes are great I must admit..lol but my southern accent may ruin it for you...
Marge-- great poem about our perpetual warmness....lol
sudhir---I can just say---nyaa nyaa-- hahahaha-- just kidding...
thanks again everyone
