"The rose held its clouded head
Far out of the solution.
She breathed the colors she knew as a child,
And died."
     -eulogy

Suspended in a vinaigrette
Of jelly, oil, semen & spit.
Her preserved beauty stained, swelled;
Her waxen image softened away.
Her leaves went, unattached,
To the surface like silent mouths.
The acid of semens burned her stem
To roughened, lineless points.
Little bubbles at her head,
Blossom's willed rot at the top.
Bright curly-cues against the jar's side.
Gently falling apart.

The wax flower -- oh, she burns so pretty.
Rainbow bubbles in a jar.
Disappearing breaths in its waste:
Who you finally are.
