“MEETING YOU” I remember the first time we spoke on the phone, So nervous was I, on that special day. Finally hearing your soft gentle voice, Knowing that it would happen, if it may. We talked and chatted for hours, About all that had blossomed with a daydream kiss. We spoke of the love that had grown between us, And we both desired one moment of bliss. I know in my heart that one day we will meet, You know it in yours too, you’ll see. Because my angel that came down from above, Came down again, and also touched thee. I dreamt of the hours that we would spend together, Perhaps a time soon in the future, it will be. If I only could hold you once in my arms, I’ll make you happy, just you wait and see. And now, as I stare at the horizon, I see the bright sun setting there, Thinking of you while I’m gone overcomes me, And down my face comes the trickle of a tear. As I sit here and write you this poem, And I look out over this tranquil sea. My heart speaks about how much I love you, Forever and a day, is the only way it can be. Bill Charles 05/28/00 3:00 pm |

I come home from work tired and mind-numb...and then I see a wonderful thing. A poem from you that I have not yet read! Just as I expected it is wonderful!
