Earth 3rd Rock from the sun!!

Wasn't sure if I should submit this or not then I thought what the heck.....Please enjoy a look into my soul.....

Longing to hold you
Fearing to get to close
Pushing you away
While tearing off your clothes

Are you afraid of me baby
It's just a good time we're having
I'm not looking for soulmate
Don't try to act like I'm yours
Don't act like this is a date

I've made a few mistakes
And I've been there before
I'm laying out the stakes
Before you walk through my door

Just gotta have a lover
Be my friend I'll be yours
Don't go gettin' all girlie
Don't go wanting more......

Did I feel you touching me?
As I walked past?
Did you think me and you
Would truely last?

Didn't mean to hurt
You haven't known me long
Didn't think you'd get uptight
Now I must be moving on......

Haven't got time
For relationship games
Is there anyone that knows
What I'm talking about?
I won't take the blame
For your broken ego
Never made any promises baby
I have no regrets....

But if your looking for a good time
Don't lose my number......
We'll lay it on the line
And make it feel like thunder....

Take it or leave it
Makes no difference to me
Tell me if you could handle it
I just have to stay free....

Julie :)

Impecible timing!  I reply to one and the next one's there.  Yet sadly I don't think I can read any more of your work, i mean i like it...3 for 3...but ahhh....whatever.
glad you showed us your soul!

Your soul or mine? I understand that...freedom.
"Please remind me gently,
please smile against my cheek.

such things are often weak.
Don't look at me like other girls,
handle me with taste.
I'm denim and sneakers, too!
Not all pearls and lace."

Well I am glad you decided to bare your soul. I particularly like this part.

Haven't got time
For relationship games
Is there anyone that knows
What I'm talking about?
I won't take the blame
For your broken ego
Never made any promises baby
I have no regrets....

honest and on the line from the beginning.
Great read my friend.

JulieAnn,
I do believe that this is the first poem of yours that I have read. I am very glad that I stopped by, as it told a story to me, of someone who just needs to be free. And, I plan on coming back to read more.
